Origin Story
汉哀帝时期，大臣息夫躬为了巩固自己的地位，多次向汉哀帝进言，鼓吹对匈奴用兵。丞相王嘉认为息夫躬的建议是出于私心，劝诫汉哀帝不可先入为主，应仔细考虑利弊，寻求和平解决之道。然而，汉哀帝被息夫躬的花言巧语迷惑，先入为主地采纳了他的建议，最终导致了战争的爆发，也为息夫躬带来了灾难。
During the reign of Emperor Ai of the Han Dynasty, the minister Xifu Gong, in order to consolidate his position, repeatedly advised Emperor Ai to launch a war against the Xiongnu. The prime minister, Wang Jia, believed that Xifu Gong's suggestion was out of selfish motives and cautioned Emperor Ai against being swayed by it. He advised the emperor to carefully consider the pros and cons and seek a peaceful resolution. However, Emperor Ai was misled by Xifu Gong's flowery language and accepted his suggestion, ultimately leading to the outbreak of war and also bringing disaster to Xifu Gong.
