Origin Story
During the Spring and Autumn period, there was an eccentric scholar named Jieyu in the state of Chu. He travelled around, and one day, he met a man named Jianwu. Jieyu told Jianwu that in the distant North Sea, there was a magical Mount Gush, on which lived a god who could bring the world abundant harvests and peace. Jianwu listened and thought that what Jieyu had said was too absurd and deviated greatly from common sense, impossible to happen, so he told Lian Shu that Jieyu was boasting. Lian Shu pondered for a while and said meaningfully: "Although what Jieyu says sounds unbelievable, it can't be entirely denied, perhaps there is some profound truth hidden in it." This story tells us that we shouldn't be too stubborn when looking at problems, we should think from multiple perspectives, maybe in seemingly absurd statements, there is also a spark of wisdom.
