During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the famous minister Xie An assisted the young emperor, and the government was stable. However, once a northern nomadic tribe invaded, and the border was in danger. The court was in panic, and some suggested abandoning the border cities to conserve strength. Xie An, however, resisted the majority opinion, arguing that they should do their best to protect the country. He knew that defending the country was the responsibility and duty of every minister. Xie An personally supervised the battle and encouraged the soldiers to fight bravely. After a fierce battle, they finally repelled the enemy army and protected the national security. Xie An's dedication not only protected the country but also set an example.
