Origin Story
公元9年，王莽篡汉称帝，为了巩固自己的统治，他下令修建规模宏大的宫殿和宗庙，以彰显自己的权力和威严。工程浩大，耗费巨大，民怨沸腾。一次，王莽召集群臣商议宫殿的修建事宜，他指着巍峨壮观的宫殿说道：“朕的宫殿，规模之大，气势之宏伟，可谓前无古人，后无来者，其奢华程度已达到无以复加的地步，将来万世之后，也难以超越！”大臣们纷纷跪倒，高呼万岁，歌颂王莽的丰功伟绩。然而，这奢华的宫殿却掩盖不了王莽暴政的本质，最终，新朝很快灭亡，王莽也落得个身死族灭的下场。这个故事告诉我们，任何事物都应该适度，过犹不及。
In 9 AD, Wang Mang usurped the Han dynasty and became emperor. To consolidate his rule, he ordered the construction of grand palaces and temples to demonstrate his power and majesty. The project was enormous, the cost huge, and the people were seething with resentment. Once, Wang Mang summoned his ministers to discuss the construction of the palace. He pointed to the majestic palace and said, "My palace, its size and imposing style are unprecedented, past and future, its luxury has reached a level that cannot be surpassed, and even in the distant future, it will be difficult to surpass!" The ministers knelt down and cheered, praising Wang Mang's achievements. However, this luxurious palace could not conceal the essence of Wang Mang's tyrannical rule. Eventually, the Xin dynasty quickly perished, and Wang Mang met his death and his family was annihilated. This story teaches us that everything should be moderate; too much is just as bad as too little.
