In the Tang Dynasty, there was a poet named Li Bai. When he was young, he was very talented, proficient in writing poems and painting. But later he became addicted to alcohol and neglected self-improvement, eventually becoming a useless and incompetent person. Li Bai's experience tells us that one must not only have talent but also work hard and strive for progress. One cannot be complacent with the status quo, otherwise even with initial gifts, one may become incompetent. The story of a young talented man named Li Bai, gifted and accomplished as a young man, with his work widely circulated. However, as he grew older, he became addicted to alcohol and neglected his studies, and eventually ended up as a useless person, a tragic fate. This story not only tells the sad fate of Li Bai but also warns people that natural talent is important, but even more indispensable is hard work and diligence.
