Once upon a time, in ancient China, there was a scholar named Li Xiucai who had dedicated years to studying, dreaming of passing the imperial examination and bringing glory to his family. However, despite his efforts, he repeatedly failed. One day, he encountered a fortune teller who, after consulting the stars, told him that he was destined to become a top official, but only if he completed a difficult task within ten years: to find a rare herb known as "Lingzhi grass" in the deep mountains and refine it into pills. Upon consuming these pills, he would succeed in the examination. Overjoyed, Li Xiucai swore an oath to accomplish this. He bid farewell to his family and ventured into the mountains alone. The journey was fraught with peril, but after much hardship, he finally found the Lingzhi grass. Night and day, he worked tirelessly to refine the herb into pills, facing countless setbacks, yet never giving up on his sworn oath. Ten years later, he finally created the Lingzhi pills and, upon consuming them, his spirits soared and his intellect sharpened. The following spring, he took the imperial examination and passed with flying colors, becoming the highest-ranking official. He lived happily ever after, forever remembering his solemn oath in the mountains and the importance of perseverance.
