Origin Story
话说唐朝时期，长安城里有一位著名的工匠名叫李师傅，他技艺精湛，承接了不少皇宫的修缮工程。一次，李师傅接到了一个修缮宫殿屋顶的任务。他精心挑选材料，一丝不苟地进行施工，眼看就要完工了，却发现一个工匠总是偷偷摸摸地破坏他的工作成果。此人名叫张三，因为嫉妒李师傅的技艺，便处处从中作梗。他有时会在夜里偷偷地把李师傅新钉好的木板撬开，有时会在李师傅精心制作的屋脊上涂抹劣质胶水，试图让屋顶漏水。李师傅发现后十分生气，但他没有声张，而是暗中观察，终于抓住了张三的证据。他将此事禀报了工部尚书，工部尚书大怒，将张三革职查办，李师傅则顺利完成了宫殿屋顶的修缮工作，他的精湛技艺得到了皇帝的赞赏。
In ancient China, there was a skilled craftsman named Master Li who was known throughout the land for his superb craftsmanship. One day, the emperor commissioned him to repair the roof of a palace. Li carefully selected materials and meticulously carried out the construction. As the project neared completion, he noticed that a fellow craftsman was secretly sabotaging his work. This craftsman, Zhang San, out of jealousy, continuously created obstacles for Master Li. Sometimes he would sneak in at night to loosen the newly nailed planks, and at other times, he would apply substandard glue to the carefully crafted roof ridge, attempting to make the roof leak. Master Li, upon discovering this, didn't make a fuss, but instead secretly observed until he caught Zhang San in the act. He reported the matter to the Minister of Works, who was furious and had Zhang San dismissed from his post and investigated. Master Li then successfully completed the repair of the palace roof, earning the emperor’s praise for his skill and dedication.
