Origin Story
During the Warring States period, the seven great powers competed for dominance, and the war continued. After years of hard work, the Kingdom of Qin finally defeated the six other kingdoms and unified China. However, the Qin Dynasty's rule was not stable, social conflicts were rampant, people lived in poverty, and resentment was boiling. Qin Shi Huang, in order to maintain his rule, implemented cruel methods of rule, leading to the loss of popular support. At the same time, Qin Shi Huang launched large-scale construction projects, building luxurious palaces and tombs, consuming a large amount of manpower and material resources, and exacerbating social conflicts. Eventually, the Qin Dynasty lasted only 15 years before it collapsed. The demise of the Qin Dynasty left a profound lesson for future generations: a country can be stable for a long time only if it attaches importance to people's livelihood and implements benevolent governance, otherwise, it will be riddled with holes, like the Qin Dynasty, and eventually head towards destruction.
