Once upon a time, in a remote mountain village, there lived a carpenter named A Fu. He was skilled in his craft and especially adept at making puppets. One day, the village headman asked A Fu to build a large puppet theatre stage for an upcoming temple fair. A Fu readily accepted the task. He worked day and night, using the finest wood and meticulous craftsmanship, and finally completed a magnificent and complex stage. Every part of the stage was complete and intact, every detail was perfectly finished. On the day of the temple fair, people were amazed by A Fu’s masterpiece. The large puppet show was successfully performed on the complete and intact stage, winning thunderous applause. A Fu thus became famous in the neighbourhood and became a well-known master carpenter.
