Legend has it that a long time ago, a giant named Pangu separated the heaven and earth, and since then, heaven and earth have had their shape. At that time, the heaven and earth were in chaos and undivided. In order to create the world, Pangu swung a giant axe and forcefully separated the heaven and earth. However, this work was extremely arduous, and Pangu had to work hard to support the heaven and earth every day to prevent them from merging again. As time went by, Pangu worked tirelessly day and night to accomplish this feat. One day, Pangu felt extremely tired; he felt dizzy, the world was spinning, and the whole world seemed to be rotating. He supported himself on a pillar that he used to hold up the heavens to barely keep on his feet. Despite the immense pain, Pangu persevered and finally completed this great work, creating the world in which we live. After creating the heaven and earth, Pangu, due to exhaustion, turned into everything; thus, heaven, earth and all things continued.
