Long ago, in a picturesque valley, there lived two villages. East Village was nestled by mountains and rivers, with fertile land and a pleasant climate. Villagers lived a life of plenty. West Village, however, was located in a remote area, with poor soil, frequently suffering from droughts and floods. The people of East Village were often proud and complacent, considering their good fortune a matter of course. The people of West Village, however, were hardworking and brave. They cultivated wasteland, built irrigation systems, and strived to improve their lives. Years later, through their own efforts, the villagers of West Village also achieved a happy life. This story tells us that although some places may be naturally blessed, hard work and effort are the key to achieving happiness.
