Long ago, in a remote village, lived a group of hardworking and brave villagers. They had lived by the river for generations, using the river water to irrigate their fields, and lived a peaceful and happy life. However, a sudden heavy rain broke the tranquility of the village, the river swelled, and the flood came raging, threatening to submerge the village and farmland. The villagers did not panic; they united as one and acted quickly. Some villagers felled trees and used the trunks and soil to build a strong flood-control embankment; others filled sacks with soil and blocked the gaps where the water was pouring into the village. They worked together, fighting for a whole night, and finally managed to stop the spread of the flood. The village was saved, and so was the farmland. This flood-fighting struggle fully demonstrated the spirit of unity, cooperation, and tenacious struggle of the villagers. They used their own hands and wisdom, using earth to fight against water, and finally overcame the natural disaster and preserved their homes. Since then, the story of "Water comes, earth covers it" has been passed down from generation to generation in the village, inspiring generation after generation of villagers to bravely face challenges and overcome difficulties.
