Origin Story
After the victory over Jie, Shang Tang inspected the battlefield and saw a hunter using a four-sided net to hunt birds and animals. Shang Tang asked the hunter: 'Your net is open on all four sides, doesn't that mean that all birds and animals cannot escape?' The hunter proudly replied: 'Yes, all animals cannot escape.' After hearing this, Shang Tang smiled and said, 'This is a bit too cruel!' So he ordered the removal of three sides of the net, leaving only one opening to allow some birds and animals to escape.
