Origin Story
During the Three Kingdoms period, Guan Yu, a renowned general of Shu Han, flooded seven armies, striking fear into the hearts of China. On the Cao Wei side, General Yu Jin was captured and Pang De was killed, resulting in heavy losses for Cao Cao. Guan Yu pursued his victory, capturing Fancheng, spreading his fame far and wide. However, Guan Yu's arrogance grew along with his success. He would daily show off his military might, boasting before the people, even showing contempt for Cao Cao. For a time, Guan Yu's army plundered everywhere, causing great suffering to the people. But this laid the groundwork for his eventual demise. Lü Meng of Wu had long recognized Guan Yu's arrogance, and he cunningly used Guan Yu's underestimation and overconfidence to launch an attack. Guan Yu was finally defeated and killed, leaving behind a cautionary tale about the perils of showing off one's power.
