In ancient Shu, there lived a shaman with an unpredictable temperament. Sometimes he was gentle and kind, healing the villagers' illnesses and injuries, and sometimes he was gloomy and irritable, performing unbelievable magic. His prophecies were sometimes accurate and sometimes missed the mark, making the villagers both awe-inspired and fearful. One day, a young farmer came to seek his help, hoping the shaman could predict the next year's harvest. The shaman gazed into the farmer's eyes, his face shifting between light and darkness, sometimes smiling, saying it would be a bountiful year, and sometimes frowning, saying it would be a poor harvest. The farmer was completely confused and at a loss. Finally, the shaman smiled mysteriously, saying, "Next year's harvest will be as unpredictable as my temperament." Then he disappeared, leaving the farmer standing in the wind in bewilderment.
