Origin Story

唐朝时期，国子博士韩愈因反对唐宪宗迎佛骨而被贬潮州刺史。他到任后写《潮州刺史谢上表》歌颂唐宪宗能够躬亲听政、旋乾转坤、机关阖开、雷厉风飞。唐宪宗觉得他很忠心就改授他为袁州刺史，后又调为国子祭酒。韩愈在潮州任上励精图治，为当地百姓做了很多好事，也留下了不少佳话。他是一个雷厉风行的人，办事效率很高，而且很有魄力，在潮州任上短短三年时间，就为当地百姓做了很多好事。

Táng cháo shí qī, guó zǐ bó shì Hàn Yù yīn fǎn duì Táng Xiàn Zōng yíng fó gǔ ér bèi biǎn Cháo zhōu cì shǐ. During the Tang Dynasty, the national scholar 韩愈 was demoted to the post of prefect of Chaozhou due to his opposition to Emperor Tang Xiongzong's welcoming of Buddha bones. After taking office, he wrote "謝上表" praising the emperor for his ability to govern himself, change the world, open all government departments, and act with great energy. Tang Xiongzong thought he was very loyal and appointed him as the prefect of Yuanzhou and later as the president of the National University. 韩愈 was very diligent during his tenure in Chaozhou and did a lot of good for the people in the region, leaving behind many good stories. He was a man of great energy and speed, very efficient and had a lot of courage. In his short tenure of three years in Chaozhou, he did a lot of good for the people in the region.
