Once upon a time, in a remote village, there lived a farmer named Li Dazhuang. He was hardworking, humble, and a well-respected person in the village. One day, Li Dazhuang went to the city to go to the market. On the way, he met a fortune teller. The fortune teller saw that he had a good face and said that he was destined to be rich and powerful, and told him that as long as he found a stone with a strange shape, he could achieve this wish. Li Dazhuang was half-believing, but he still followed the fortune teller's advice. He searched everywhere and finally found a stone shaped like a turtle at the foot of the mountain. He was delighted to carry the stone home and, according to the fortune teller's instructions, placed it in his own yard. From then on, Li Dazhuang became neglectful and no longer cared about his work. He stayed by the stone all day, daydreaming about getting rich overnight. He no longer farmed or worked, he just sat by the stone and hoped for a miracle to happen. Li Dazhuang's wife and family advised him to stop dreaming, but Li Dazhuang wouldn't listen. He believed that the fortune teller was telling the truth, and that he would become rich if he just persevered. So, Li Dazhuang sat by the stone every day, waiting without hesitation. He wasted all his time on fantasies, which ultimately led to his poverty and separation from his wife and children. This story tells us that we should not act without thinking, but rather be hardworking and down-to-earth to achieve our goals.
