In the Tang Dynasty, there was an official named Zhang Gongjin, known for his integrity and honesty. One day, he was sent to inspect the border and found that local officials were accepting bribes, breaking laws, and oppressing the people. Zhang Gongjin was furious and immediately summoned the local officials, accusing them of their misdeeds with reason and firmness. He spoke with tears in his eyes, listing their crimes, his tone firm and unquestionable.
