They went around searching for new shelter and food, and helped other villagers who were also affected by the disaster. In the midst of hardship, they further understood the importance of brotherhood and sharing the same fate. They rebuilt their home together and worked hard to live, interpreting the true meaning of sharing weal and woe with their actions.
