He was a notorious local tyrant, known for his harshness and cruelty, often oppressing villagers, seizing their land, and demanding exorbitant rents. The villagers deeply resented him, but they were helpless. One day, the county magistrate sent a young official named Zhang Qing to investigate the local situation. Zhang Qing, a just and compassionate man, secretly visited many families in the village, uncovering Li Dacai's various misdeeds. Determined to uphold justice, he decided to punish the local tyrant. Zhang Qing brought Li Dacai to court, where he rigorously questioned him about his crimes. Despite mounting evidence, Li Dacai denied everything, but Zhang Qing eventually exposed his true nature. Li Dacai was sentenced to exile, losing his power and wealth. From then on, the village was rid of its tyrant, and the villagers lived in peace and prosperity.
