Woman's kindness
Explanation
Furenzhiren, originally referring to a woman's compassionate heart, is now often used to describe someone indecisive, lacking decisiveness and determination.
Origin Story
At the end of the Qin Dynasty, Han Xin and Liu Bang discussed Xiang Yu. Han Xin said that although Xiang Yu was brave, he lacked the qualities of a great leader. Xiang Yu's personal martial prowess was very high, but his benevolence was limited to small favors. He had excess bravery but lacked wisdom and strategy, his rewards and punishments were unclear, and he was indecisive. This was a manifestation of his excessive compassion, which hindered his ambition and ultimately led to his failure.
