Origin Story
隋朝时期，窦炽的儿子们大多凭借军功位居高位，结交达官贵人，宾客盈门，唯有窦威潜心读书，被任命为掌管皇家藏书的秘书郎，门庭冷落。但他勤奋好学，学识渊博，最终得到唐高祖李渊赏识，走上仕途。兄弟们凭借财富和权势，门前车水马龙，而窦威却因其学识和品德，最终获得更高的成就。这段故事告诉我们，真正的财富和成功并非仅仅取决于物质上的富足，更在于自身的修养和才能。窦威兄弟们虽然宾客盈门，但他们最终的成就却不如潜心学习的窦威。这个故事也体现了古代中国重视知识和人才的文化传统。在竞争激烈的社会中，唯有不断提升自身能力，才能在长远发展中立于不败之地。
During the Sui Dynasty, most of Dou Chi's sons held high positions through military merit, made contacts with high-ranking officials, and had many guests. Only Dou Wei devoted himself to his studies and was appointed as the secretary in charge of the imperial library; his house remained quiet. But he was diligent and learned diligently; his knowledge was extensive and he was eventually appreciated by Tang Gaozu Li Yuan and entered government service. His brothers had many guests because of their wealth and power, but Dou Wei ultimately achieved more thanks to his knowledge and virtues.
