Origin Story
唐朝时期，一个贫苦的农妇，丈夫早逝，独自拉扯两个孩子，生活极其艰难。一日，她带着孩子上山采药，途中遭遇山洪暴发，母子三人被困在山上，眼看就要被洪水冲走。危急时刻，一位白衣女子出现，施法救助，将他们带到安全的地方，农妇这才知道，是观音菩萨显灵救了她一家三口。从此以后，农妇一家安居乐业，并将观音菩萨救苦救难的故事广为流传。
During the Tang Dynasty, a poor peasant woman, whose husband had died early, was raising two children alone and living in great poverty. One day, she went to the mountains with her children to collect herbs. On the way, a heavy flood occurred, and the mother and children were trapped on the mountain, threatened to be washed away by the flood. At this critical moment, a woman in white appeared, saved them with magic, and brought them to safety. The peasant woman realized that it was Guanyin Bodhisattva who had saved her and her family. From then on, the peasant woman's family lived in peace and prosperity, and the story of how Guanyin Bodhisattva relieved suffering and hardship was widely spread.
Usage
用来形容菩萨或具有菩萨心肠的人，慈悲为怀，救助受苦受难的人。
