A fortune teller came to the village, dressed in an old robe, a crooked hat, and a cane in his hand, walking shakily. When he arrived at Li's gate, he spoke to Mrs. Li in a sarcastic tone, "I see you're about to have bad luck; watch out!" Upon hearing this, Mrs. Li was suspicious, for nothing bad was happening to her! When he saw that she didn't believe him, the fortune teller sarcastically added, "If you believe me, hurry to the temple, offer incense and pray; it might avoid your calamity!" Mrs. Li was even angrier at his sarcastic tone. She closed the door immediately, thinking, "What an unreliable fortune teller, he's so unpleasant!"
