话说唐朝时期，有个书生名叫李白，他寒窗苦读多年，却一直未能考中进士，心中很是沮丧。一日，他走在乡间小路上，突然下起了倾盆大雨，他连忙躲进路边的一座破庙里避雨。雨势越来越大，庙里漏雨严重，李白只能靠墙坐着，浑身湿透。这时，他听到一阵敲门声，打开门一看，是一位身穿锦衣华服的老者。老者自称是天上的神仙，因见李白才华横溢，特地来送他一份大礼。老者从怀中掏出一本古书，交给李白，说此书内藏有许多考中进士的秘诀。李白欣喜若狂，连忙谢过老者。回到家后，他如饥似渴地研读这本古书，果然从中受益匪浅。不久后，他便参加了科举考试，并一举考中了状元。李白高中状元的消息不胫而走，乡亲们都为他感到高兴，纷纷前来道贺，这真是喜从天降啊！

One day, while walking on a country road, it suddenly began to rain heavily, and he quickly took shelter in a dilapidated temple by the roadside. The rain became heavier and heavier, and the temple leaked badly. Li Bai could only sit against the wall, his whole body soaked. At this moment, he heard a knock on the door. When he opened the door, he saw an old man dressed in luxurious silk robes. The old man claimed to be a celestial being, and seeing that Li Bai's talent was very promising, he had specially come to give him a great gift. The old man took out an ancient book from his bosom and gave it to Li Bai, saying that this book contained many secrets to passing the imperial examination. Li Bai was overjoyed and quickly thanked the old man. After returning home, he eagerly studied this ancient book, and he indeed benefited greatly from it. Shortly thereafter, he took part in the imperial examination and passed with flying colours. The news of Li Bai's success in the imperial examination spread quickly, and his neighbours were very happy for him and rushed to congratulate him. This was truly unexpected joy.
