Origin Story
During the Ming Dynasty, the pharmacologist Li Shizhen disregarded his father's expectations and gave up a career in public service to devote himself entirely to medicine. He read a vast amount of medical books and discovered that many medical records were not detailed enough, so he resolved to write a comprehensive and systematic work on medicine. To achieve this goal, he traveled through mountains and rivers, personally collecting medicinal herbs and carefully verifying them. After several decades, he finally completed the monumental work "Bencao Gangmu." This demonstrates his high ambition and relentless pursuit of truth. He not only inherited and developed traditional Chinese medicine but also left a valuable treasure for posterity.
