It is said that during the Tang Dynasty, a poet named Li Bai, while traveling in Chang'an city, accidentally met an old friend who lived in seclusion in the mountains. This old friend was a respected hermit who had lived in seclusion for many years and stayed away from worldly affairs. Li Bai and his old friend reminisced, and they talked freely about poetry, songs, and calligraphy, drinking together and having a good time. After the banquet, the old friend took out a wine he had treasured for many years as a surprise gift for Li Bai. Li Bai was about to express his gratitude when the old friend suddenly took out a letter from his bosom, saying it was a letter from the court appointing Li Bai as a Hanlin academician. Li Bai was overjoyed and surprised to hear this news. He had not expected that this accidental meeting would bring such a great surprise, which was undoubtedly a major turning point in his life. Li Bai held the wine given by his old friend and cherished the appointment letter from the court, his heart filled with infinite gratitude and joy. He deeply appreciated the kindness of his old friend and the court's recognition, so he wrote a poem to express his excitement.
