从前，有个老戏班，他们演出的戏都是些老戏，剧情老套，动作老套，台词也老套。可是，每到一个地方演出，戏班班主总是吹嘘说，他们的剧目是独一无二，是最新颖，最精彩的剧目。观众看了之后，都觉得索然无味，纷纷退场。后来，一个年轻的演员看不下去，便向班主建议，要创新，要演出一些新戏，吸引观众。班主却说：‘咱们的老戏，已经演出几十年了，观众都熟悉了，这样既安全又省事，何必冒这个险去演新戏呢？’就这样，这个老戏班继续故伎重演，最终走向了衰败。
Once upon a time, there was an old theatre troupe that only performed old plays. The plots were old-fashioned, the actions were old-fashioned, and the lines were old-fashioned. However, every time they performed in a new place, the troupe's leader always boasted about their unique and exciting repertoire. The audience, however, was bored and left the venue.
