Origin Story
During the Warring States period, there was a man named Shang Yang who, in order to implement reforms, spared no effort and even resorted to unscrupulous means. He believed that for the sake of the country's strength, even sacrificing the interests of some people was worth it. To achieve his goals, he promulgated a series of harsh laws, and many innocent people were implicated and even executed. Although Shang Yang's reforms to some extent promoted the prosperity of the country, they also caused the suffering of many people, and his actions were regarded by posterity as inhuman.
