Origin Story
汉代，邹阳和枚乘因劝谏吴王不成，投奔梁孝王。梁孝王的臣子公孙诡嫉妒他们的才华，诬陷邹阳，邹阳入狱。他在狱中给梁孝王写信，信中写道："感于心，合于行，亲于胶漆，昆弟不能离，岂惑于众口哉！"梁孝王被他的忠诚所感动，释放了邹阳。两人如同胶水和漆一样黏合在一起，比兄弟还亲密，体现了他们之间深厚的友谊和忠诚。这便是"如胶似漆"的由来，后人用以形容感情深厚，难舍难分。
During the Han Dynasty, Zou Yang and Mei Cheng sought refuge with King Xiao of Liang after unsuccessfully advising King Wu. Gongsun Gui, a minister of King Xiao of Liang, envied their talents and falsely accused Zou Yang, who was imprisoned. From prison, he wrote a letter to King Xiao of Liang, in which he wrote: "Feeling in the heart, acting in unison, intimate as resin and paint, brothers cannot be separated, how can they be confused by rumors!" King Xiao of Liang was moved by his loyalty and released Zou Yang. The two were bound together like resin and paint, closer than brothers, showcasing their deep friendship and loyalty. This is where the idiom "like glue and paint" originates; it is used to describe a deep, inseparable affection.
