Origin Story

战国时期,秦昭襄王为了得到赵国的和氏璧,便允诺赵惠王以十五座城池交换。迫于秦国势力,赵王派蔺相如带和氏璧去交换,秦王闭口不谈城池的事,蔺相如用计夺回和氏璧,并怒发冲冠地说:‘如果不以城池交换,我就与和氏璧同归于尽。’秦王见蔺相如如此强硬,只得答应以城池交换。蔺相如凭借自己的智慧和勇气,维护了赵国的尊严,也让秦王见识了赵国的实力。

During the Warring States period, King Zhao Xiang of Qin wanted to obtain the Heshi Jade Stone from Zhao. He promised King Hui of Zhao to exchange 15 cities for it. Due to Qin's power, King Hui of Zhao sent Lin Xiangru to exchange the Heshi Jade Stone for the cities. However, King Qin refused to talk about the cities. Lin Xiangru regained the stone using a clever strategy and angrily said: 'If you don't exchange the cities, I'll die with the Heshi Jade Stone!' King Qin saw Lin Xiangru's determination and finally agreed to the exchange of cities. Lin Xiangru, with his wisdom and courage, preserved Zhao's dignity and showed Qin the strength of Zhao.
