Origin Story
In 229 AD, Sun Quan became emperor, establishing the Wu Kingdom with Jianye as its capital. At that time, Gongsun Yuan, the governor of Liaodong, wanted to form an alliance with Wu. Sun Quan appointed him King of Yan. However, Gongsun Yuan went back on his word, not only failing to uphold the alliance, but also killing the envoys sent by Wu. When Sun Quan heard the news, he flew into a rage, wishing to immediately lead his troops across the sea to punish Gongsun Yuan and vent his anger. But after being advised by his ministers, Sun Quan finally calmed down and adopted a more cautious strategy, eventually suppressing Gongsun Yuan's rebellion. This story teaches us that even in the face of great anger and injustice, maintaining calmness is crucial to making the wisest decision.
