Origin Story
Once upon a time, in a small mountain village, there lived a young boy named Xiao Ming. Xiao Ming was innocent and kind-hearted, but because he grew up in a remote mountain village, he rarely had the opportunity to experience the outside world. Therefore, he was inexperienced and lacked understanding of many things. One day, Xiao Ming went down the mountain alone to go to the market in town. On the way, he saw a smartly dressed merchant who was holding a beautiful box filled with glittering gold and silver jewelry. Xiao Ming had never seen such precious items before and was immediately fascinated. The merchant saw how naive Xiao Ming was and wanted to cheat him. He told Xiao Ming that he could give him the gold and silver jewelry in the box for a small sum of money. Xiao Ming was very happy and, without hesitation, gave the merchant all the few copper coins he had. The merchant took the money and smilingly gave Xiao Ming the empty box before leaving. Xiao Ming stood there stupidly with the empty box, realizing that he had been cheated. He started to cry. At that moment, a kind old woman passed by and saw how sad Xiao Ming was crying. She asked him what was wrong. Xiao Ming told the old woman everything that happened. The old woman sighed and said: “Child, you are too inexperienced. In the future, you must be more careful and not easily trust strangers.” Xiao Ming lowered his head in shame and never easily trusted anyone again. He gradually became more mature and responsible.
