Origin Story

西汉时期,汉武帝派大臣苏武等为使者出使西域同匈奴单于修好,由于汉朝降将鍭侯王的反叛,单于大怒,扣押了苏武等人,劝其投降。苏武宁死不屈,坚决不降,被迫沦为匈奴的奴隶在茫茫草原上放羊,19年后才回到汉朝。苏武在匈奴期间,匈奴单于为了逼迫苏武投降,对他进行了各种各样的考验,甚至将他关押在严寒的冰窖中,但是苏武始终不屈服,最终以自己的忠诚和气节感动了匈奴单于,获得了释放。苏武回到汉朝后,被汉昭帝任命为中郎将,并被封为贰师将军,成为了汉朝的功臣。

During the Western Han Dynasty, Emperor Wu of Han sent his minister Su Wu and others as envoys to the Western Regions to make peace with the Xiongnu Khan. Due to the betrayal of the Han general Li Ling, the Khan was furious and took Su Wu and the others captive, trying to persuade them to surrender. Su Wu refused to surrender, he remained steadfast and was forced to serve as a slave of the Xiongnu and herd sheep on the vast steppe. After 19 years, he returned to Han. While Su Wu was in the Xiongnu, the Khan subjected him to various tests to force him to surrender, he even locked him up in an icy prison. But Su Wu remained steadfast, and finally touched the Khan with his loyalty and steadfastness, so he was released. Upon his return to Han, Su Wu was appointed as a Middle-Rank General by Emperor Zhao of Han and was promoted to Second-Army General. He became a meritorious general of Han.
