In a certain ancient dynasty, there was a clean official named Li Bai. Born into poverty, he studied diligently since childhood and deeply understood that the way of being an official lies in working for the people's benefit, not in seeking enjoyment. After taking office, he devoted himself to the people and never showed favoritism or acted unjustly. He often went deep into the people, understanding their situation and suffering, and tried every means to solve their difficulties. Once, an ox from a landlord's house accidentally wandered into Li Bai's vegetable garden and damaged many seedlings. The landlord came to demand compensation with a domineering attitude. Li Bai, however, did not favor him because of his status, but handled it fairly based on the actual situation. On the one hand, he blamed his family for not guarding the vegetable garden well, and on the other hand, he advised the landlord to care for his neighbors, and eventually, both sides reached an understanding. Li Bai's integrity won the respect of the people and established a good official style. His story has been passed down through generations and has become a model for later generations of officials to learn from.
