The cave was pitch black, the path uneven, and strange sights followed one another: Huge stalagmites stood like ghosts, the crystal-clear underground river emitted terrifying sounds, and countless bats flew in the darkness. The deeper Li Bai went, the more mysterious the place became, as if he were in a world of gods and ghosts. He seemed to see legendary gods and demons wandering before his eyes and heard various eerie sounds in his ears. He felt waves of chills and was filled with fear and doubt. What kind of force had created such an unimaginable world? He couldn't understand. Finally, he decided to give up the exploration and return to his hermitage. This experience strengthened Li Bai's determination to devote himself to Taoism, and he created many poems about gods and ghosts. His unique writing style vividly described what he saw and heard in the cave, leaving endless room for imagination for future generations. These poems have become important materials for the study of Tang Dynasty culture.
