Origin Story

During the Tang Dynasty, there was a poet named Li Bai. In order to find inspiration for his works, he often went to great lengths, traveling over mountains and rivers, to experience the lives of ordinary people. Once, he heard that a recluse lived deep in the mountains, and this recluse's poetic skills were said to be extremely refined. Li Bai was determined to visit him. He climbed mountains and crossed dense forests, forded rapid rivers, and after several days of arduous travel, he finally reached the recluse's dwelling. However, this recluse was a rather eccentric individual. When he met Li Bai, who had gone to such lengths to visit him, he spoke coldly and refused to discuss poetry. But Li Bai was not discouraged. He patiently explained to the recluse his intentions and expressed his love for poetry. In the end, the recluse was moved by Li Bai's sincerity and agreed to exchange ideas with him. They became close friends and often discussed poetry composition techniques together in the mountains. Li Bai also learned many experiences in writing from the recluse, and his poems improved further.
