However, Li Bai’s ambitions were far-reaching; he did not simply want to pursue high office and wealth. He yearned to show his talent and make contributions to the country. At court, he dared to speak out and criticize the shortcomings of the government, offending many powerful officials. Later, he was exiled after being involved in political turmoil, but he never gave up his ideals. He continued to travel and write poems, eventually becoming a legendary poet. Although his life wasn't spent in high office, enjoying high-ranking positions and generous salaries, he still created a legendary life for himself and made a significant contribution to Chinese culture.
