Origin Story
During the Qing Dynasty, there was a cook named Duo Guan'er, who was called "Duo Hun Chong" because of his weakness and incompetence. He was weak-natured and procrastinated in his work. His cooking lacked any special features. Once, the Jia estate held a banquet, and Duo Guan'er was in charge of preparing an important dish. However, he was too afraid of failing to start, and as time went on, he became increasingly flustered. In the end, the dish was poorly prepared, and the banquet was affected. Granny Jia was furious and scolded Duo Guan'er severely. From then on, he never dared to take on important tasks in the kitchen again. Later, he was assigned to cleaning duties, a role that matched his abilities, but he remained weak and incompetent, relying on others for his work and ultimately spending the rest of his days in obscurity at the Jia estate. This story teaches us that weak and incompetent people cannot shoulder great responsibilities; only courage and self-confidence lead to success in life.
