In the Tang Dynasty, during the reign of Emperor Taizong, a young poet named Li Bai came to Chang'an with great ambitions. He longed to show his talent and make his poems famous throughout the land. He traveled extensively and visited high-ranking officials and nobles, hoping to gain recognition, but he repeatedly met with rejection. By chance, he met an old scholar who told him: "To become famous, talent alone is not enough, you also need opportunity and hard work. You must constantly create new poems and improve yourself; only then can you ultimately succeed."
