Origin Story
话说薛蟠因湘莲救他性命，两人结拜为兄弟。贾琏想把尤三姐许配给柳湘莲，但柳湘莲听说尤三姐与贾珍有染，便退婚。尤三姐悲愤而死，湘莲也因此遁入空门。薛蟠派人寻找柳湘莲，却始终没有音讯。薛姨妈着急地说：‘派出去的人，一定要办妥此事，不要丢三落四的，让人笑话。’可见薛姨妈也是个谨慎的人，她知道做事要认真，不能丢三落四。薛蟠为人鲁莽，不细心，所以才会常常丢三落四。
