In an ancient town in southern China lived an old pharmacist known for his expertise in herbal remedies. One day, a young scholar collapsed at the entrance of his pharmacy, unconscious. The pharmacist quickly brought him inside and examined his pulse. He determined that the scholar's condition wasn't due to a serious illness but rather from exhaustion, resulting in a temporary loss of consciousness.
