Origin Story

In ancient times, there was a general named Li Bai, who made great contributions to his country, repeatedly defeating invading enemies, and protecting the safety of the country and the peace of the people. After his triumphant return, the emperor rewarded him heavily and appointed him as the grand general. The whole country praised his merits. However, General Li Bai gradually became complacent and arrogant, often defying the emperor's orders, treating his colleagues condescendingly, and even being rude to the people. Ministers repeatedly advised him to be humble and cautious, but General Li Bai turned a deaf ear to them, instead becoming even worse. Eventually, because of his arrogance, he was dismissed from his post by the emperor, ending up in a miserable state. This story tells us that being complacent and arrogant is unacceptable; only humility and caution can lead to greater success.
