从前,在一个繁华的城市里,住着一位名叫王富贵的富商。王富贵家财万贯,却为人十分吝啬。一天,王富贵听说城外有一位名医,医术高超,能治百病。于是,王富贵便带着重金前去求医。名医听说了王富贵的事情,便答应为他治病。但是,名医开出的药方却让王富贵大吃一惊,因为其中一味药是生长在深山老林里的千年灵芝,十分稀有昂贵。王富贵听到药价,顿时皱起了眉头,心想:“这药太贵了,我可舍不得花这么多钱!”于是,他便对名医说:“大夫,您开的这药太贵了,我实在买不起。您能不能换一种便宜点的药方呢?”名医听了王富贵的请求,无奈地摇了摇头说:“这药方是我精心研究出来的,每一味药都不可或缺,如果换了别的药,就无法达到治疗的效果了。王富贵,您知道我医术高明,但您也知道灵芝很贵,您现在却说买不起,这不是强人所难吗?”王富贵听到名医的话,脸上涨得通红,最后还是乖乖地付了药钱,因为他也知道,名医说的的确是实话。
