Origin Story
Once upon a time, in a small mountain village, there lived an old carpenter. He was skilled in his craft, especially in wood carving. One day, the village chief came to visit him, wanting him to help make a wood carving as a sacrificial offering for the village. The old carpenter readily agreed and carefully selected the best wood. However, the village chief made many harsh demands on the design of the carving, even imposing his own design concepts. Although the old carpenter knew that this design did not conform to traditional craftsmanship, he respected the village chief's insistence. The old carpenter worked hard to complete the carving, but in his heart he felt somewhat helpless. He knew that the carving, though exquisite, was not the best work in his heart. This story tells us that sometimes we cannot impose our own will on others, we should respect the thoughts and choices of others.
