Long ago, in a remote mountain village, lived a girl named Xiaoyu. She was kind and hardworking and deeply loved by the villagers. One day, dark clouds gathered in the sky, lightning flashed and thunder roared – a violent storm was approaching. Xiaoyu worried that the village's crops would be destroyed by the heavy rain, so she rushed to the fields to check the condition of the plants. She saw that many rice ears were already bent over, and some had even been broken by the wind. Xiaoyu's heart was filled with anxiety; she didn't know what to do. At that moment, she remembered the words of an old man in the village: 'Don't be afraid of difficulties, face them bravely, and believe that you can overcome them.' So Xiaoyu mustered her courage and began to rescue the crops. She straightened the rice ears that had been blown down by the wind and tied up the broken ones. She worked until late into the night, until she was exhausted and returned home. The next day, when the sun rose, the storm had passed. Xiaoyu went to the fields and saw that the crops were safe. She smiled happily because she had, through her own efforts, overcome the storm and protected the village's crops.
