In the Tang Dynasty, there was a poet named Li Bai who lived in Chang'an city. His poetic talent was so great that he was known throughout the country. His poems were sung by countless people, and his name was a household word. He was the most famous literary figure in Chang'an. Officials and nobles vied for his friendship, and literati flocked to him to obtain his calligraphy. Li Bai enjoyed interacting with people, and in the taverns and tea houses, he was often seen, carefree and unrestrained, reciting poems and attracting countless people to watch. His fame reached its peak, and everyone knew him. But the good times did not last long. His political aspirations were thwarted, and his character contributed to his downfall. He was exiled and lived in poverty for the rest of his life. His once great fame eventually faded.
