In 206 AD, Liu Bang led a large army to attack Xiang Yu. Xiang Yu set an ambush in Gaixia, preparing to launch a surprise attack on Liu Bang's army. As night fell, Xiang Yu's army quietly lurked around Liu Bang's army. Liu Bang's army was completely unaware, resting in their camp. Suddenly, Xiang Yu's army burst out, launching a fierce attack on Liu Bang's army. Liu Bang's army was caught off guard and suffered heavy losses. However, thanks to his experience and calm command, Liu Bang eventually defeated Xiang Yu. Although this surprise attack caused great losses to Liu Bang's army, it also came at a heavy price for Xiang Yu.
