However, he had a fatal weakness: an extremely strong vanity. To show off his talent in front of the villagers, he often boasted about his knowledge and ambitions, speaking eloquently and vividly. However, in private, he was lazy and unambitious, did not read much, and his knowledge was very superficial. The villagers were misled by his words and considered him a learned and capable man, praising him highly. Only Li Cheng's mother saw through his hypocrisy and repeatedly exhorted him to be down-to-earth, study hard, and not be a hypocrite. However, Li Cheng did not heed his mother's advice and continued to be himself, continuing his hypocritical performance.
