你做的木盒是什么材质的？用了什么工具？

nǐ zuò de mù hé shì shénme cáizhì de？yòng le shénme gōngjù？

What kind of wood did you use for the box? And what tools did you use?

我用的是红木，工具嘛，就一些基本的凿子、砂纸之类的。

wǒ yòng de shì hóng mù，gōngjù ma，jiù yīxiē jīběn de záozi、shā zhǐ zhīlèi de。

I used rosewood, and for tools, just some basic chisels, sandpaper, and so on.

红木啊，很高级！我用的主要是松木，比较容易上手。

hóng mù a，hěn gāojí！wǒ yòng de zhǔyào shì sōng mù，bǐjiào róngyì shàngshǒu。

Rosewood, that's quite high-end! I mainly use pine, it's easier to work with.

是啊，松木比较软，雕刻起来也方便。你雕刻的小鸟是什么造型的？

shì a，sōng mù bǐjiào ruǎn，diāokè qǐlái yě fāngbiàn。nǐ diāokè de xiǎo niǎo shì shénme záoxíng de？

Yes, pine is softer and easier to carve. What kind of bird are you carving?

是只展翅欲飞的鸟，还在打磨中，你呢？

shì zhī zhǎn chì yù fēi de niǎo，hái zài dǎmó zhōng，nǐ ne？

It's a bird with its wings outstretched, about to take flight. I'm still sanding it. How about you?

我的木盒比较简单，就是一个长方体，刻了些简单的花纹。

wǒ de mù hé bǐjiào jiǎndān，jiùshì yīgè cháng fāng tǐ，kè le xiē jiǎndān de huāwén。

My box is quite simple; it's a rectangular shape with some simple carvings.
